Garam masala is one of the most famous spices of India. It is also sometimes called the Indian spice of five scents. Garam means "hot" (the spices are first roasted and then further processed) and masala means "mixture of spices". The mixture has a very wide range of uses. It is used for grilled and roasted meats, for minutes, for minced meat, for chicken, fish, for flavoring legumes, for rice dishes, yogurt sauces.
Compared to the popular curry, Garam Masala is sweeter and has a typical aromatic warming taste, its main ingredient is cumin.
According to Ayurveda, Garam Masala heats the human body and by increasing its temperature, it helps to get rid of toxins. It also supports good digestion and weight loss and strengthens immunity.
