Cinnamon is a classic spice that people like to add to desserts, apple mousses, compotes, fruit salads or even to meat to enhance the taste. In the Christmas time  ground cinnamon is used to decorate cakes, muffins and pastries. Thanks to cinnamon, drinks such as mulled wine, punch or liqueur get their aroma.

 

When cooking, keep in mind that cinnamon can get a bitter taste when cooked for a long time. Therefore, always add ground cinnamon shortly before serving.
